ONE of Scotland's greatest living artists was last night drawn into a row over almost GBP10,000 of public money being paid to the SNP-supporting singer Sandi Thom for appearing at a series of government events.
In contrast to Thom, who was paid GBP2500 to launch the first minister's Christmas card last December, John Bellany said he had been proud to donate a painting of fishing boats in Macduff harbour, Aberdeenshire, for the card free of charge.
