But does our love affair with technology come at an environmental cost? You bet your PlayStation 3 it does. But what to do? Mobile phones, sat navs, music devices and laptops have become an essential, and unavoidable, part of modern life. One gadget by itself may have very little environmental impact, but think of how many you have, then multiply it by everyone you know, and then... you get the point.
