Summary

More Scots will be heading east this summer with Transaero Airlines beginning Scotland's first weekly service to Moscow, left, from Edinburgh, in June. Moscow is one of Europe's most exciting capital cities to visit with Red Square and the Kremlin, as well as the vodka bars, all part of the attraction. Fares will start at about (pounds) 201 plus tax. Call Transaero Airlines' Reservations on 0870 850 7767.

This is just the latest addition to the choice for Edinburgh passengers, with Stockholm and New York also added to their list of destinations for this year. West coasters will be able to add Croatia and Bulgaria to their ever-increasing list of direct destination countries as Balkan Holidays adds Glasgow to its schedules. Flights to Dubrovnik from Glasgow will operate every Tuesday from June 29 until August 10. Log on to www.balkanholidays.co.uk or call 0845 130 114.
