AFTER an opening-day draw with Stirling Albion and a defeat to Dunfermline last time out, Morton delivered their first league win of the season for new manager Allan Moore against Partick Thistle yesterday. The result was fair, but shrouded in controversy nonetheless, with the visitors adamant the home side's clinching second goal had not crossed the line.
After a low-key opening period in the Cappielow sunshine, it was Morton who got a breakthrough. Carlo Monti's corner seemed harmless but when Thistle failed to clear their lines, penalty box pinball ensued.
