FRUSTRATED Scottish teachers are threatening industrial action if class sizes are not cut to a maximum of 20 pupils in all schools and subjects.

Union members voted yesterday to instruct their leadership to ballot for action if agreement cannot be reached with the Scottish Executive by December. That could mean strikes or other industrial action as early as next spring, in a move designed to put pressure on ministers to make faster progress.
