IT may look like a badly parked spaceship in the middle of Cardiff but yesterday the Millennium Stadium cocooned a crowd of 60,000, hosted music from 21 top acts and brought several more millions in donations for the Asian tsunami appeal.

An easy pounds-1 million was raised in just three days from ticket sales for the sell-out Welsh Tsunami Relief Concert, making it the biggest charity gig since Live Aid, which took pounds-60m in 1985. Worldwide broadcast rights were set to take yesterday's total to nearer pounds-5m.
