LIVINGSTON may have wasted little time in clambering back up to the First Division, but it has taken them a bit longer to settle in. The club were relegated to the Third Division following a rather unseemly period in administration, only to secure two consecutive promotions.
A win over Dundee, their first in this league, will feel like a vindication of their efforts, but the Lothian side have yet to appear entirely convincing since their return. Yet, the margin of this victory, coupled with the speed at which Livingston were able to accumulate a lead in the first half - Iain Russell and Kenny Deuchar both struck inside the opening 15 minutes - suggests this was the sort of auspicious afternoon the West Lothian side had grown accustomed to over the last couple of years.
